Blood Lines

Hiro sat on the ground as Hanako made several fast handsigns. A burst of mist hide Hanako from his veiw for a moment untill the evening wind blew the mist away. Hanako stood beside an almost perfect clone of herself. So perfect in fact Hiro only noticed one thing wrong with it, the colors of the clone's clothes and hair were not exactly that of the real Hanako. HIro stood up and walked around the shadow clone. "Good Hanako-chan, this is the best one yet!"
Hanako blushed a bit from the compliment. "It's still not perfect....not like yours."
Hiro smiled at her. "With a little more practice, your dopplegangers will be just as good as mine, but hold on a minute.." He walked behind Hanako and put his arms around her, laying his hands over hers. "Now focus your chakra on your image, not the clone...Good." Hiro made the handsigns with her, correcting the small mistakes in her movements. Once again a shroud of mist rose and fell. Hiro and Hanako were standing beside exact copies of themselves. Hiro backed away from Hanako, secretly wanting to sty close to her though. "Thats good, I don't think I'v ever heard of someone learning the shadowdoppleganger techniqe in such a short time. If you keep going like this I probably end up teaching you everything I know in a week." He walked over to the pack he had brought and pulled out a bottle of water. "thirsty?" He threw the bottle to Hanako. She caught the bottle and looked at it for a moment then back at Hiro. "Do you think i could learn the Rasengan?"
Hiro continued to rummage through his pack. "It's a difficult move..... but your a fast learner, maybe." You aren't very strong Hanako-chan, but at the speed you learn things you could quickly become a master.
He looked up at Hanako who was now starring off into empty space. "You still with me?"
Hanako blinked and focused on Hiro, her cheeks turning red. "Sorry, were you saying something Hiro-san?"
Hiro shook his head. "just making sure you were still on Earth."
Hanako blushed even more. "Sorry, i was just think of something."
Hiro smiled. "Really, what of?"
She returned the smile. "Nothing, i'll tell you someother time."
Hiro shrugged. "Ok, keep your little secret....Ah-ha!" He pulled two cups of instant ramen out. "You hungry?"
Hanako walked over to Hiro. "I think you read my mind sometimes."
     Hidden from Hiro and Hanako, two masked asassin ninjas from hidden in the mist sat watching them. The ninja with his hair in a ponytail turned to his teammate. "So this is the last of the Isomes?"
The other ninja, a large man with his village's protector worn as a bandana nodded. "Looks like he has a girlfriend."
Don't worry about her, if she gets in our way, we'll kill her too." The two melted away into the closing shadows of the forest.
    Hiro drank the last of the water in his water bottle and threw it in his bag. "Hanako-chan, we should head back, by the time we get to your house it will be dark."
Hanako swallowed her mouthfull of ramen and nodded. "Ok, Hiro-san"
The two threw what was left of their lunches into the forest and put the trash in Hiro's pack before starting down the trail to Hanako's house. Subconciously the walked side byside, both secretly basking in their closeness.
   As the walked Hanako noticed that Hiro was becoming very nervous. Is he nerous because we're so close?.... "Hiro-san, whats wrong?" Hiro keep walking foward and answered with out looking at her. "We're being followed."
Hanako's eye's widdened, but she followed Hiro's lead and keep walking.
   The larger mist asassin watched Hiro and the girl stop for a moment to get some water. Now's my chance!! Ina fluid motion he drew his well worn sword and jumped from his treetop hidding place. As his feet barely touched the ground, he slashed from right to left through Hiro and Hanako's stomaches, their bodies disappearing in a woosh of mist. Akunai flew out of the mist and knocked the sword from the asassin's hand. A cold blade touched his throat. "Why did you just try to kill us?" Hiro asked from behind the ninja.
"Because it was our mission." Came the answer from behind Hiro. Before he could turn around a fist hit him hard in the jaw and sent him flying. his last concious memery being Hanako screaming his name.
